Happy holidays!

I hope this post finds everyone warm and cozy and well-prepared for the holiday season.  I attempted to find something clever to say, like, Dancy Holidays, Happy Pilate-days, or even, Dancy Pilate-days!  But it just wasn’t working for me.  So, instead, I will say, Enjoy your families, parties, big dinners, and sweet treats!  Happy holidays!!  And think of me in the new year as you make those resolutions because I’ll be ready to whip you into shape after you have enjoyed your parties, big dinners, and sweet treats in excess!  ;-)

I had previously announced the winter schedule for Cadance’s jazz classes, but I’m excited to let you all know that I will be adding three Pilates Matwork classes to the schedule – another way to whip you into shape!  As you may already know, I’m still working on my practice teaching and I will take my exams to become certified in February.  This winter session is your opportunity to help me and my opportunity to help you:  I get more experience teaching before my exams and you get to enjoy Pilates at a discounted rate!

Please be aware that for the Pilates classes, I will not do drop-ins as I do for the jazz classes simply because there is space for only 8 students.  You will need to register for the session ahead of time in order to have a standing reservation in the class.  The drop-in-like alternative is to purchase packages of 3, 5, or 10 classes and you must reserve space in the class (by phone, text, or email).  Check the website’s Class Schedule and Prices for the specific details about reservations, cancellations, and schedule (check frequently, as I will be updating things over the holidays).  If there is enough demand for Pilates, I will consider adding a daytime class.

To facilitate registration for the session (jazz or Pilates), to purchase packages, and to make reservations for spots in class, I will be at Studio Metronome on Wednesday, January 5 at 6:00-7:00.  Drop by the studio during that time to take care of your registration and to save yourself a spot in a Pilates class.  I will also be at Studio Metronome one half-hour before each class on the Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday of the first week of the session.  If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

So, eat, drink, and be merry this holiday season (in moderation, of course!).  Be sure to take advantage of all that 2011 brings your way – according to the Mayans, at least, we only have until 2012!  :-)

Take care and see you next year,

Rachel
