fall 2011 session

Summer is unfortunately coming to an end as students go back to school and the weather gets cooler.  (It was freezing yesterday morning!)  I don’t know if I’m ready for the colder temperatures, but I am excited for this fall session.  I still have a lot (read: all) of the choreography to prepare.  Although the show won’t take place until August/September 2012, it’s a tall order to fill and I don’t take it lightly:  songs from Supertramp and Queen!   Since I choreographed Bohemian Rhapsody for our last show, I should feel somewhat prepared, but it feels like a monumental task to take on songs like Crime of the Century and We Are the Champions.  It should all come together, eventually, in the next 2 1/2 weeks – it did, after all, for the last show, right?

If you want to be part of this show, would just like to learn the choreography for fun, or just want to dance for the sheer pleasure of it all, then don’t miss out on this fall session, starting September 6.  And to complement your jazz class, don’t forget about Cadance’s core-strenghening, body-lengthening Pilates Matwork classes.

What makes the fall even more exciting is that I will begin teaching Pilates classes at another Pilates studio, in addition to the classes I offer at Cadance.  If that weren’t enough on my plate, I will be taking an Intensive Reformer course to add to my Pilates Matwork certification.  2012 is looking like a chock-full-of-excitment kind of year.  I hope you can join me on this journey!

One last thing – I’ve been slowly working on getting all of the Cadance performances up on our YouTube Channel.  One didn’t quite make the copyright cut, so you can find this video of our medley of Prince numbers on our Facebook page.

See you in class!
