I hope you are enjoying your summer so far, Cadancers! Even though the weather has not been ideal (or consistent!), there is much to enjoy about the city’s festivities. Before you get too lost in your summer activities, just a reminder that our summer session begins next week (July 8-August 30). We’ll begin choreography for the May 2014 show: Beatles and Rolling Stones. Participation in the show is optional, but it’s so much fun! Contact me with your questions about registration.
The Montreal Jazz Festival is here!!! Although I’m taking today off from the fest, I try to make it there as many days as I can. What shows have you seen or will go to see? Here are a few photos I took from the past three days. Maybe I’ll see some of you there!
At the tail-end of the Jazz Festival is the first Legends of Rhythm Tap Festival here in Montreal (July 5-7)! There are some great master classes and workshops with awesome dancers, not to mention other activities (tap jam, panel discussion, etc.). The festival will wrap up with the show Rhythm Lives on Sunday, July 7 at 7:00 pm at the Rialto Theatre, featuring Arthur Duncan, Ethel Bruneau, and Travis Knights. Not to be missed!
Thank you to all of those who participated in the Healthy Knees Master Class. We learned some great movement and exercises to keep these important joints strong! I hope we can have another Master Class the next time Tracy Maxfield is in Montreal. He has so much knowledge to share!
Take care, Cadancers, and enjoy the summer. I’ll see you in the studio very soon!
