Happy new year, Cadancers! I hope you’ve enjoyed a wonderful time these past few weeks. Maybe you’ve had some time to visit with family and friends and perhaps get away from Montreal on a little holiday adventure. However you’ve spent the time, I hope you’re ready to get back into the groove of the winter session (assuming you can survive the slippery ice out there!).
I got to spend lots of quality time with the husband and doggy and go skating on a frozen Lac Marois over the break. I never did get caught up on my Daily Shows, Colbert Reports, or Real Simples, though. I did finish the promo video for Cadance, spending many hours on the computer and blurting many curse words while toiling away at this project. ;-p I hope you’ll enjoy the finished product and that you’ll share this video to help recruit more Cadancers for our Jackson Fusion show in 2016 (….we are, after all, a part of a Rhythm Nation!). Without further ado………
Special thanks to those who appear in the video (especially those saying very kind words about me and Cadance!). More thanks to those who helped with translation/language things (Katya, Nadine, Kat). Thanks to my hubby who helped me figure out technical things and gave his feedback to make the video even better.
Now about that winter session……
And just a few pics to give you an idea of what the jazz dancers have in store for the show!
Remember that our winter session begins this week. While we won’t be starting on Jackson Fusion choreography immediately, I do plan to begin at least a few weeks into the session.
WINTER SESSION – (12-week session) January 6-March 26
*the “plus” means I’ll incorporate more standing barre method work to tone and lengthen you in a fun, challenging way!
Hope to see you in class!
