Your health and safety at the studio are our priority! That is why we have these COVID-19 safety procedures for every client and student. Here is what you need to know before you come to the studio.
1) CONTACTLESS REGISTRATION/PAYMENTS
All students (even returning students) must fill out the online registration form/waiver. You can make your payment for the session/class via e-transfer or PayPal.2) COVID-19 DECLARATION
Before EACH & EVERY class you attend, you must attest that you are symptom free (there is a thermometer at the entrance to the studio you may use). If you are feeling symptomatic, we ask you to please stay home.3) WEAR A MASK DURING CLASS
Please wear your mask entering/exiting the building and during class. However, if you forget your mask, Universal Dance Studio has disposable masks available for a donation. In addition, I recommend wearing dance shoes or appropriate socks (instead of bare feet) for classes.
💡 Here are some great tips for masking up for Jazz and Pilates.4) HAND HYGIENE
Before class, wash your hands with soap & water for ≥20 seconds. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the studio; please use it as necessary. Please also wash/sanitize your hands after class.5) MINIMIZE
If possible, come dressed for class so you have fewer belongings with you in the studio. Feel free to bring your own mat/towel to Pilates, although I will continue to provide Cadance mats for you.
Each Pilates student will have their own paper bag for the session to keep their Cadance mat & accessories separate from the others. Only one person in my Pilates studio at a time to retrieve and return your bag and you will have a fresh, clean towel to use for cleaning mats & accessories.6) SOCIAL DISTANCING
Once you enter the studio (with just enough time to wash your hands and begin class), please respect the markings to keep your 2 meters distance and to ease the flow of traffic. Ballrooms A (jazz) and B (Pilates) have been marked so you can stay within your own bubble. I will modify jazz warm-ups, exercises, and choreography so we can avoid floor work and maintain distance. After class, please exit in a timely manner to avoid congestion in the studio.
7) HAVE FUN!
I have all of these procedures in place because I care about the health and safety of my Cadancers! With all that in place, we can have fun together at the studio!! (I’ll even let you laugh at my safety glasses.) 🤓8) VIRTUAL OPTIONS
If you’re not ready for in-studio classes or can’t make it to class one day, please join us online!
