March 9 – Rocker With Open Legs
Sometimes I edit out my fumbles and stumbles and then I might post the bloopers separately. And sometimes, I leave in the bobbles and the struggles. Because we all have them at one time or another. Even the perfectly polished folks on social media who seem to be so flawless, they can’t be real….can they? Well, I guarantee that even they even have an “off” day. It’s like in dance class when one day you can nail a triple pirouette on your “bad side” and another day, you can barely make a single. C’est ça qui est ça!
My thank you for Rocker With Open Legs (Open Leg Rocker, as I learned it) is for being imperfect. Even when you have a good day and you feel you nailed it, you know that you can keep improving it. Maybe a little more lift of the sternum; a little more length even as you flex your spine; an even deeper more connection to the abdominals. And maybe you’d think that that would be kind of boring since you never achieve perfection. But to me, that’s what keeps it exciting. Now let’s see if I can get a little more flexibility in that right ankle/foot and let’s see if I’ll be holding my toes come next March Madness!
