STOTT PILATES® is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates. Co‑founders Moira and Lindsay G. Merrithew, along with a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent more than two decades refining the STOTT PILATES® method of exercise and equipment. This resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and effective methods available. This clear and detailed approach forms the basis for STOTT PILATES® training and certification programs. It’s used by rehab and prenatal clients, athletes, celebrities and everyone in between.

STOTT PILATES® improves core strength and stability and balances the muscles around the joints, improving the way your body functions, looks, and feels. It focuses specifically on:

• Head & cervical spine placement

Matwork classes are offered for all levels and may include small props to make the workouts more fun and dynamic. You will be taken through a challenging, full-body workout designed to strengthen core stability, lengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and flatten the abdominals.  The “Plus” means we’ll add some popular standing barre method work to tone and lengthen you in a fun, challenging way!

Before joining the Pilates group classes, we recommend that you do an entrance assessment and/or some privates.  This will ensure you understand the basic principles and help you follow the group workout much more easily.

À la carte students are always welcome, but we recommend reserving your spot in advance to ensure there is space available.  Capacity is 8 students.  Wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in with socks or bare feet – nothing too baggy.  There is no need to bring a mat with you to class as all Pilates mats and props will be provided for you.

I am excited to now bring to you one-on-one sessions using the STOTT® Pilates V2Max Reformer Plus (with the tower) and the Stability Chair! In addition to foam rollers, Bosu ball, Flex Bands, Toning Balls, etc. you can now challenge yourself with the hundreds of exercises to help improve your strength and body awareness. Once you try it, you’ll fall in love with Pilates!
